Age Groups and Classifications.
3-5 years 6-11years 12-18 years and over 18's
For each group up to 18 years there will be a 1st prize in each category with certificates for all other entries. Over 18's each category will have a 1st-2nd and 3rd prize. There will be one category for New Thetfordians (under 5 years in Thetford ) entitled 'My Impressions of Thetford' . There will also be one prize for the best in show.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
1, No prints or computer enhanced pictures
2, all entrants must live within a 25 mile radius of Thetford
3, a maximum of two pictures per artist, in any medium with an entrance fee of £2.00 per picture. Maximum size 26”square over all. All pictures to be ready for hanging with a label fixed to the back showing the artist name, medium and price (if for sale). A 20% commission will be deducted by the gallery on all sales. No picture to be removed until the close of the exhibition.
4, Completed entry forms and fees are to be delivered to the gallery from Monday14th July to Saturday 19th 2008 from 10am to 12 noon only.
4A. Pictures to be delivered to the gallery on Thursday 7th August 2008 between 1pm and 7 pm. (Please be early)
5, the committee’s decision is final on all matters.
6, all entries are to be removed between 10am and 5pm on Friday 22nd August 2008.
7, No unaccompanied children under 18 years will be allowed entry.
8, the gallery reserves the right to reject any picture deemed unsuitable for public viewing.
9, There are no exceptions to these rules.
